If you are looking for a beautiful & yet relaxing place to enjoy a nice stroll or a good book you should check out our gardens. A calm and relaxing oasis to enjoy the vibrant colours and pretty birdsong around our little lake filled with lily pads and home to turtles, ducks and water dragons. 

Pool & Spa

Make sure you take time to refresh yourself by the pool, de-stress in the spa and feel your problems melt away in the steam room. 

Beaches

There is nothing like a long, lazy, relaxing day at the beach to unwind. Nambucca Heads has a number of excellent beaches where you can swim, surf or simply work on that summer tan! Main Beach is our local patrolled beach and is perfect for swimming or surfing.  

Surfing

There are a few popular surfing towns within a short distance of us. One of the most favoured is Scotts Head which is a sleepy little town known for its longboarding.

Cycling

Explore the bays on our vintage bikes. A cycle path the whole way down along the coast path and to the V-Wall means car-free cycling all the way down to the beach.

Hiking & Walking

There are many great hiking and walking trails around the Nambucca Valley or head on a day trip to Bellingen and Dorrigo and walk amongst the Promised Land.

SUP

We have Stand Up Paddleboards available for hire from our guest services team.
Pop across the road to the river and enjoy the serenity of paddling the waterways.

Kayaks & Boats

Visit our friends at the Boat Shed Cafe and hire a tinnie or kayak to explore further up the river. Visit Nambucca Valley Tourism to see all the kayak trails across the valley.

Fishing

Grab a rod and head down to the V-Wall and cast your line, this is the pick of the local fishing spots. Our friends at Boat Shed Cafe have all the fishing equipment you’ll need.

Golf

Make a weekend of it and book yourself a round at The Nambucca Heads Island Golf Club or experience the Bonville Championship Course – consistently voted one of the most beautiful in Australia.

Heritage Villages

Further afield, discover the retro feel of nearby villages of Bellingen and Sawtell with their cool café culture and boutique breweries. Take a trip to the historic village of Bowraville with it’s heritage buildings and rich cultural links.

Unkya Cultural Tours

Unkya Local Aboriginal Land Council offers two spectacular Cultural Tour Experiences, The Gaagal Yuludarla (Ocean Dreaming) and Gaagal Wanggaan (South Beach) National Park. 

Waterfalls & Wild Swimming

For adventure seekers, take a day trip into Dorrigo National Park – only a 40min drive from Cubana but you’ll feel worlds away. Visit this World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforest for breathtaking waterfall walks, picnic spots and excellent birdwatching.
